TENT CATERPILLARS
(WORM SPRAYING)
Last year, Lake Carlos had isolated infestations of tent caterpillars. Aerial spraying was completed on the south west part of the lake. Aerial spraying has not gone without objection by some lakeshore owners. This year, we will not be doing aerial spraying. Instead, we have an alternative recommendation.
All three camps on our lake, Luther Crest, Mount Carmel, and Lake Carlos State Park, have all contracted to have buildings and other structure areas sprayed by a ground service. LCAA welcomes the alternative application that landowners can do if they choose to.

LCAA has renewed its permit by allowing lake residents to have the aerial service. The cost is approximately $5,000.00 per one hundred acres.
