TENT CATERPILLARS (Worm Spraying)
In the past Lake Carlos had isolated infestations of tent caterpillars. LCAA does not coordinate aerial spraying. Aerial spraying has not gone without objection by some lakeshore owners. LCAA will not be doing aerial spraying.
Luther Crest, Mount Carmel, Lake Carlos State Park, and many individual homeowners have contracted to have buildings and other structure areas sprayed by a ground service. LCAA welcomes the alternative application that landowners can do if they choose to.
Creepy Crawler Pest Control can handle ground spraying and will give a discount to all LCAA members. The spray application rids the area of tent caterpillars, Asian beetles, and spiders. You are welcome to call if your lakeshore property is the target of tent caterpillar infestation.

In some areas with intense worm invasion neighbors have gotten together and contacted Benson Air Ag. Inc. for aerial spraying. This service is again available.
